Welcome to the Aqua-Maids Water Exercise Home Page
Classes NOW offered 3 times each week!
Water exercise / Aqua aerobics classes are held weekly in the beautiful outdoor pool at Mills College in Oakland, California.
We offer weekday evening classes during the summer. Sunday mornings continue year-round.
We have a lot of FUN, moving to great music while experiencing the many benefits of exercising in the water.
Your workout can be intense, or you can work at a low intensity level. You set your own pace. Most exercises are performed in a vertical position.
No swimming skills are required.
Come use the water’s resistance to strengthen your muscles and joints, and increase your cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. We use equipment to isolate muscle groups.
Excellent workouts for all people of all fitness levels, including expectant mothers and those who are recovering from injuries or surgery, or managing back or knee soreness.
A variety of music is used for your enjoyment. Each class ends with water relaxation including adaptations from Tai Chi and Yoga.
